Good cover, solid effort! Here is just a tip with how i play it (try them out and see what suits you the best)

I like to play this cover with sliding from fifth fret to the second (0:21sec of the video) instead of just plucking the note.

Another thing is when (0:28) it feels like you missed a part.

Again, very good take.

i have tryed the sliding before but i guess its preference, i prefer the plucking

Any excuse to play this!!

My take as follows, I noticed you tuned down half a step so I did too, I think the key difference is the pull off lick just before the harmonics around 0.28

Great thread and cool playing mate biggrin.gif

There are some tiny mistakes in both videos, although when doing a cover it's not illegal to make the song slightly original. If you do want it to sound just like Kirk himself, you should download the tabs on www.ultimate-guitar.com... smile.gif I do not have a camera to record me playing this, but I'll try to post a video later on (don't wait with impatience though, as this will take quite some time, as I have school to finish...) ! biggrin.gif

Anyway, both takes are beautifully played, synfection and sted smile.gif

Very good playing from both! synfection you have some minor timing issues in the first part, just before the 12 fret harmonics part. That sequence is a bit acquard, try slowing it down and rehearse just this part.

sted, your take is great as well, nice and precise, note exactly like original, couple of notes are misplased, but it is great! smile.gif

Keep rockin guys! smile.gif

Cool, I should learn this. I think it's a law or something.
