Last night on VH1 I watched Iron Maiden Flight 666. The new DVD will be coming out this month. It is basically a behind the scenes video of their latest world tour. Bruce Dickenson flies their Airline Jet to all the destinations (its like a Boeing 737 or something like thats all painted up with iron maiden art work.)
I was amazed at the crowd turnout that they had at their shows. Especially in South America and Mexico. Many places had to use the military for crowd control. In Columbia after the show they showed many of the fans crying because they were so full of emotion. And I thought I loved Maiden. These people took it to a whole new level. Their performances were amazing. Its a must see. You will not be disapointed. They were my favorite band in High School. I went and seen their Number of the Beast concert and their Piece of Mind concerts in St. Louis Missouri back in the 80's. And I seen Powerslave live in San Antonio Texas. Those were the days. I can remember leaving my Piece of Mind Cassette in the tape player in my Mustang for probably 2 or 3 months straight. That has to be my favorite. There are good songs on their other albums but if I had to pick just one to listen to it would be piece of mind. Anyway just thought I would share. If you google Iron Maiden Flight 666. I am sure you will get the info you need to be able to check it out. Its fantastic!! -------------------- My Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/user/FingerSpasm?feature=mhum

Just saw the movie.
WOW. it really is amazing, This movie expresses perfectly how Maiden is for music and themselves, and especially there fans. There is a scene where a guy, full grown man, catches one of nickos drumsticks and after the show he is crying, completely, And he even says a prayer to the sky, I mean the movie is amazing. Its funny, emotional, passionate, and above, Inspirational. I dont think I have ever been more inspired by anything. |

Mine is en route to my house. Should be here Thurs.
AND I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!! But tonight I am downloading THIS!!!! QUOTE Flight 666 touches down on Rock Band - June 9th
Published: May 29, 2009 IRON MAIDEN MASTER RECORDINGS MADE AVAILABLE AS DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT FOR ROCK BAND MUSIC STORE FOR THE FIRST TIME Harmonix Music, MTV Games & Electronic Arts Inc. today announced that 12 tracks from Iron Maiden will be added June 9 to the Rock Band® Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and Wii. Live recordings of "Aces High," "Hallowed Be Thy Name," "Fear of the Dark" and "Iron Maiden," featured on Flight 666, are among those available for download in the Rock Band Music Store June 9. The other 8 songs were amongst those featured on the band's Somewhere Back in Time World Tour during the first leg of which Flight 666 was filmed. This will mark the first time master recordings from Iron Maiden have been made available on Rock Band games. "Metal fans have wanted this one for a long time, and we've answered them with some of the greatest Maiden songs, both live and recorded," said Paul DeGooyer, Senior Vice President of Electronic Games & Music for MTV. "Iron Maiden is one of the most successful and widely recognized metal bands of all time, with more than 75 million albums sold, and counting. We're very excited to offer these tracks, and we know fans will be thrilled." "Fans have been asking us to do something with Rock Band for some time and this seemed to be a perfect opportunity," said Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood. "Our recent Somewhere Back in Time tour was perhaps the most enjoyable one we have ever undertaken, and certainly the most successful with almost two million people catching the shows round the World. So it just seemed a good idea to make some of the songs we played available now so fans can play along with the band on the tour. Then we shall see if they can keep up with the band!" Its funny, emotional, passionate, and above, Inspirational. He's actually crying? Not just the regular "mantear" in the corner of the eye? That's love! I challenge anyone to find someone that passionate here in Scandinavia! My guess is that it can't be done ![]() No No No your all wrong. Its a Boeing 666 'Nuff said. ![]() -------------------- GMC is not just a website... It's a lifestyle!

Just watched it myself.....extremely great documentary.
Lasts about 2 hours and I have the feeling I just watched for 20 minutes or so - time just flies. I always liked the music of Iron Maiden but up until now I have never thought how very likable every one of them actually is! This documentary really catches a glimpse of the energy they emit during their concerts - and I mean this as a compliment! ![]() My verdict? If you can grab hold of it - get it - watch it, play a bit of music yourself and the watch it again! ![]() My 5 Cents worth! UP THE IRONS!!! |

Saw it a few days ago... Definetly one of the best documentaries I've ever seen!
I've always had so much respect for the guys in the band that I didn't think I could have any more... But after watching this, the respect skyrocketed, if that's a term! Up the Irons!! -------------------- GMC is not just a website... It's a lifestyle!
