Hey everybody!, how’s it going?. This is my first Collab. Hope you enjoy it and help you (Two fundamental items in this kind of jobs).
The style to work is Hard Rock and the idea is that you take as example your favourites players of the style to create your solos and then apply them on this backing track. The track is based on the C major scale and you can combine it with the relative pentatonic, Am. The tempo is on 120 Bpm and, following the chords, you can add some arpeggios if you want. The chord progression is: Part 1: ||: Dm | C | Am | G | Dm | C | Am. | G FC :|| G FG :|| Part 2: ||: Am F | G | Am F | G | Am F | G | Am F | Em :|| Tempo: 120bpm Key: C Major Time Signature: 4/4 The deadline is June 23 Hard_rock_collaboration_backing_track.mp3 ( 1.24MB ) Number of downloads: 424 Participants : 1-Audiopaal 2-arctic1234 3-Edguy 4-Toroso 5-Dexxter 6-ZakkWylde 7-Kaznie_NL 8-Farmer Joe 9-Jafomatic 10-Marc_Maiden 11-Eat-Sleep-andJam 12-Sondre 13-Canis 14-TylerT 15-Deadevil 16-leedbreak 17-Coloneldrew 18- This post has been edited by Santiago Diaz Garces: Jun 20 2009, 11:16 PM -------------------- Check out my lessons!

QUOTE Hi, I loved the backingtrack! Count me in smile.gif Just one little question... are we supposed to make a solo in the style of another artist/band??? No, use all you´ve learned, your influencies and combine them as you like QUOTE Hey that backing sounds really nice. This could be my first collab ever too. But I'm a little afraid of that it could be a little to difficult for me. Is there a problem when I try something to record and when i don't get something good i don't upload a take (of course i try to avoid that). EDIT: I messed around a little bit and I think i am able to make a take so please count me in (Juhu my first collab smile.gif I´m glad you decided to participate. This is the a good way to improve. QUOTE hey man, thats a great backing track. it can easily inspire anyone smile.gif can I join in as well? smile.gif You are in, thanks for your participation -------------------- Check out my lessons!

QUOTE Hola Santiago! Como estas? I have always wondered about this and Emir has made me painfully aware that this is a problem for me. When constructing a solo for something such as this, should we be changing the scale we are using whenever there is a chord change? Would C major scale, and as you seem to indicate Am be good to use over the whole track? I hope you understand because I'm really not quite sure what I'm asking. rolleyes.gif In this type of progressions it is not necesary to change the scale in each chord, because all the chords are formed by notes of the C major scale (or its relative Am) -------------------- Check out my lessons!
