How are you connected to pC ?
Which sound card?
Which DAW you use ?

Double click Volume icon on the taskbar and raise up line- in or mic volume control if u are connected through one of these options .

I suggest you get a proper DAW like Cubase,Sonar,Reaper etc...and then connect the USB of the POD to your computer and it will sound Great!! smile.gif The other way to go is, still get an actual DAW(Cubase,Sonar,Reaper) and an Audio interface. That way the interface will act as your sound card and you can plug in the pod, using it's line outputs, to the line in of the interface and it will sound great as well wink.gif

In audacity make sure you have your Pod set up to record first. Click Edit at the top and then go to Preferences at the very bottom. Make sure the Audio I/O tab on the very left is selected (should be by default) and change your playback and recording devices to Pod XT. This should allow you to record. Also make sure your PC speakers are plugged into the Pod rather than your computer's sound card. The Pod acts as an audio interface.

Sorry for the double post.

I also found the easiest thing to do to get around the changing of PC speaker cables back and forth is to get a 1/8" to 1/8" cable to go from your phones port on the pod to your line-in port on your computer's sound card. This way you can keep your speakers plugged into your computer (and make use of your surround sound if you have it).

Also if you're not getting ANY sound from your Pod, you may need to change your sound device in Windows, as well. Go to control panel>Sounds and Audio Devices and then change your playback/recording devices to your PodXT....

Hope this helps!

How did you connect your POD to PC? Via line in or USB?
