Hi all, have been a menber of GMC for about 4 months now and have now decided to join the forum.

I am 50 years old, played the guaitar a bit in my teens (not very well). My wife boght me a Hamer XT Sunburst for my 50th so I am learning all over again. Having fun playing again, practising for about 1 hour per day.
I like to play classic heavy rock like Sabbath,Purple and Uriah Heep.
Green Day,Nickleback and a bit of blues (Gary Moore) style amongst others. I also like to play my acoustic ( I am currnently looking to buy a new one)
When I say play I mean I would like to be able to play them WELL.

When I practice I start off with some warm up exersices, then do some scales and pracitce what ever technique I am working on,then practice/learn a song. I am currently learning Yesterday fingerstyle on the acoustic and Sweet Home Alabama on the electric.

Hope to learn much from this site and I am sure this site will be of great assistance in my guitar learning journy.

Hi all
Thanks for the kind welcomes.

Probably many questions to come your way over the coming months.

Been playing for 7 months now, realy enjoying it and am determind to get "good"
family and friends think I am quite good but none of them play,to a proper player I am decidedly average ( for now)

Oh by the way I live in the North East of England.
