http://www.steinberger.com/ZT3.html

I have usually not been particularly keen on Steinbergers design, but this guitar looked kinda freaky and sexy at the same time (+ it got some killer specs, ofc including the trem-trans). So what do you think of it biggrin.gif ?

I want one, but I saw they were priced to 1500$ in USA...I fear that will be at least 2000-2600$ in Norway sad.gif

They certainly look cool. I've never touched one though. That new ZT3 is sexy looking though.

Haven't had the chance to play one but it looks really nice. The Trans-Trem system sound cool if it works.
It's worth checking out for sure.

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Those guitars are extremely good! Too bad they don't use headstocks... for me it's like a car without wheels!

The trans trem + bending chords in pitch is a very cool feature. I also like the idea of graphite necks.

But I guess they need a lot of very precise adjustments (e.g when changing string gauges) in intonation and tuning to benefit from these features...

I get this tomorrow......

I've owned numerous steinbergers. Great guitars....I never used the trans trem feature though. The trans trem doesn't have a very good range as far as dive bombing etc. Don't expect to be doing Vai type whammy craziness with it. Also, the ZT3 has a maple neck and not a graphite neck. Steinbergers got me hooked on graphite necks though......I have them on all my guitars......AWESOME!!! smile.gif

I've only played one, and while it was a great guitar. I dont think the prices are justifiable.

Still, it does look pretty sexy cool.gif

Great guitar! I'd love to play one. Holdsworth uses them and they sound really good for that style...also T.J Helmerich uses one
