Hey guys,

As I'm still trying to cope with my extremely annoying arm I've decided that I'm going to teach myself left-handed guitar. I thought... as I'm a lefty with everything else, why not guitar as well? Can't be that hard...

Well, wrong! Haha, it is pretty hard to start out. I'm the biggest newbie again (which means being able to play a sloppy version of Smoke of the Water!), but it is exciting. I could use some help though.

If you've ever learnt how to play left-handed guitar, how did you start out? Did you restring the guitar upside down? Any things that I might need to know?

I always played left handed guitar so it feels kind of natural to me, but I can do some basic stuff on a right handed guitar too. It gonna take some time till you feel comfortable but if you already have experience on a right handed guitar learning left handed will take less time. It might me a little bit tricky in the beginning though, because your guitar mind is far more progressed than your fingers.

Playing left handed guitar has a few downsides as higher price and you won't get every guitar model you want because the lefty market is not to big, but on the other hand no one will feel the urge to try your guitar with his unwashed fingers wink.gif

Haha allright!

Do you think stringing my right-handed guitar like a lefty will be safe? (For my guitar that is tongue.gif)
