I have posted a bit of this song before but it is now finished. It's obviously copyright to me also. Oh and hello. I haven't been on in an age lol.

Pre Verse 1

The times I've left behind
Start to fade into insignificance
When you start to ask why? Why?
Why you never grab the fame that was destined for you
There was always hope
But the will just could not pull you through

Verse 1

As you walked through the gates into the silent garden
Where you know the trees will always offer comfort
Where the lost souls of your friends
Could never breach the shackles that binded
Their tiny damaged hearts
You're my lost desire
You're my final dream that the last crunching wave of life
Will bring you back to me (runs into pre chorus)

Pre Chorus 1

We sing the praises of them
Who try and save us from our inner selves
To Them We Are Our Own Saviours
We Alter Our Own Futures Now
Our Futures Now

Verse 2

You know he wasn't very old, when the garden blessed his soul
And all the memories he had went cold, when he stepped into the unknown
You know the man you knew back then, isn't the man you know right now
He lost a lot of friends along that path, as he walked the lonely road
As he walked the lonely road, as he walked the lonely road

Pre Chorus 2

We long for a resolution
These tears aren't helping us anymore
To Them We Are Our Own Saviours
We alter our own future Now

Chorus 1

And the times are changing
Everything that you know
Is not the same today
As when the trees would sway
In the breeze of a mountain
In the forest that they grew
And that garden has never been the same

Interlude 1

To Them We are our own Saviours (Vocal Harmonies line splitting)

Interlude 2

Now and then
In our moment
Of Grace he belongs
In his most peaceful state
The journey ends back where it all began
At the tree in the garden of his birth
In this moment he breathes alone

Verse 3

You know he crawled along that shore
As if he knew the end was near
Lying motionless in the sand
Allowed to sleep at last

Pre Chorus 3

And in their desperation
No ones ever going to hear their call
To Them We Are Our Own Saviours
We Alter Our Own Futures Now

Chorus 2

And the times are changing
Everything that you know
Is not the same today
As when the trees would sway
In the breeze of a mountain
In the forest let him grow

The music is all written. Just need the band to learn it lol. I write all the songs and then give it to the band to learn. Hopefully you can get a live version soon smile.gif
