Several times more complicated, but similar to, Steve Vai's triple neck Jem, as seen on G3-Denver. The heavy playing is on the main six string, the upper 12 string is arpeggiated with and without chords and can trigger a synth, and the bottom fretless can play a lead or arpeggio.

This is a "harp-guitar."

Probably my favorite guitar performance ever. The best part for me is in the middle of the shredding section, he does an ascending run and ends on a single note which he hits about 10 times quickly, and then finally hits the 12 string. It sounds like photon torpedos, and it's as close to a musical orgasm as I've ever seen, as indicated on his face. I have to admit.. I get tears in my eyes watching this.. to me it seems very emotional.

I watched Pat Metheny play it in Belgrade, it is really....I mean it has its own purpose, and since Pat is such a good composer he pullled out everything from it. Average guitar player would just shred on it...
