all I know is that Casiopea and Tsquare are two different Jazz Fusion bands from Japan, and they must have at one point thought it would be a great idea (and what a great idea it was) to get on stage together!

Just found this on youtube!

also I was introduced to Tsquare through this forum post by VinceG
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...;t+square\

which contained this awesome song/video that got me hooked

the crazy thing is that none of these guys seem (to me) especially talented, but the music is AWESOME

Some of the classic artists in this genre worked with Miles Davis in the late 60's, when it was a new sound. 'Bitches Brew' is an amazing album from that time, one of my all-time favorites. John McLaughlin did (most of?) the guitar on that album. Since that time there's been a huge number of jazz/rock bands with fusion influences. Two more recent jazz guitarists I like a lot are Bill Frisell and John Scofield.

Wow ! The music was beautiful, and I loved the way each instrument had a kind of duel in the beginning, like a show-off thing ! biggrin.gif
