Hi GMC-ers!

I'm really happy to introduce you another instructor, Janos Kallai. A mean virtuozo, Janos is proud to have the opportunity to work with Dream Theater's Jordan Rudess. Janos' band is named K3.

Here's a bite of some of his upcomming lessons:

Janos, would you be so kind and tell us how did you manage to contact and win Jordan Rudess to play on your record?

Here's a bite of some of his upcomming lessons:

Janos, would you be so kind and tell us how did you manage to contact and win Jordan Rudess to play on your record?

Hi all,

It was an interesting story. In the summer of 2007 we were working in the studio on the new album, its called Under a Spell, and we invited our friend Peter Rajkai, to play a solo ( keyboard player)
on the new record. He accepted with pleasure, and he played a great one. And than, during the mixing he had a great idea. He said: Hey guys, what would be if I send the pre mix version to Jorda Rudess, maybe he could say something about the songs, and the quality maybe he could share with us his opinion about the album. Just to mention:peter is in good realition with Jordan, because, Peter had the opportunity to work with jordan as his keyboard technicians
So back to the storry
We said to Peter: Yeah it's a great idea. So he sent an email to Jordan, and we sent the songs from the studio to him
and than we waited...but the truth is that we did'nt belive that Jordan will answer.......And he sent the answer. Hi Guys great work! We thouth It's impossible, we got answer, and a great answer. So we were so happy, and than I decided to talk with Peter. I asked Peter, to talk with Jordan, to send him our request, to play a solo on our album. We thouth it's really impossible, but maybe....
So
2 days after we got the answer: "hey guys no problem, but now I'm so busy, but maybe 2 or 3 days after am free." Waaaahhhh ( we said:) we would wait for a year if we had to, but fortunately we didn't hav to wait so long

'cause he send a mail from his phone: "Sorry guys, ( this is Jordan!!!) because I had no time, we are making the new DT video right now
so tomorrow I'll be free to record the solo. So 3 days later we got an email from Jordan: "I will send two solos, so you can choose that what You liked" MAAAN, 2 SOLO from JORDAN RUDESS, and we have to select,
ohh UNBELIEVABLE! So we got the solos, and we made the master mix, and 1 month after we released the album.
