Damn!! sad.gif sad.gif

So I take this crappy knife, which is actually pretty dull, to get me a slice of melon... and I cut my fretting hand index fingertip! It didn't cut the melon, but it cut my finger like butter! dry.gif

I knew it would happen some day (not with a melon though laugh.gif), that I would hurt my fretting hand and would be deprived of playing for a few days. Well, that day was today. It's not really that bad, just enough to hurt and not heal properly if I play. Would hate the blood all over my strat too. Ok that last bit was too "Tarantino", excuses laugh.gif

I wish I had regeneration superpowers like the X-men or the guys in "Heroes". I'm so pissed off!!

Oh well. Enough ranting already. Just had to shout out loud somewhere people actually understand my "pain".

Tomorrow I will try to play anyway laugh.gif
Btw, the melon tastes pretty good. At least.

Ah, I feel sorry for you! sad.gif I would hate it if that happened... I would probably just put on a bandage and play, even if it would hurt like hell laugh.gif laugh.gif

Try not to play until its healed properly, in order not to extend the no playing period...
Hope it heals soon!

I did a similar thing a year or so ago, I was building some Decking at work and the Drill/Screwdriver slipped and drilled straight into my index finger tip!!!! It was a complete mess!!! Couldn't play for about 2 months!!!!

Ouch!

The same thing happened to me last December. I was hanging Christmas lights and put a staple through my middle finger. I had to practice pentatonics for two weeks.

Have a speedy recovery and tape up that index finger!

Looks better today, it's weird because it doesn't hurt but the hard skin is cut & dry and doesn't seem to "join" again, looks like the grand canion laugh.gif

feel for you mate, did mine in catching a wine glass. deep cut as well. try a small butterfly stich (two strips of plaster, not needle and thread) to join the flap of skin together and cover with a band aid and it should heal pretty quick. you will find if it is not too bulky you will still be able to play reasonably well just your shredding ability will be affected. not that that mattered to me much.
