Well I was looking for my favourite guitar pick (picture under) and when I finally found it I wasn't looking for it anymore. Quess where I found it ?? Well I was going to copy one of my new bought CD:s to my Itunes then when I opened my CD-drive quess what was inside biggrin.gif My lovely guitar pick wink.gif I have no idea at all how it had gotten there but well things happen for a reason so when I picked up my pick I had an inspiration on one of my new songs which you will hear as soon as I get my iMac and can start recording with it biggrin.gif. I was wondering what is the most unbelievable stupid place where you have found your pick(s) ??? smile.gif ofc a little story how you found is always nice smile.gif
Cheers ppl cool.gif
Ps. Maybe if we get enough stupid places we can rank them biggrin.gif

Well, with my starter guitar pick I got a story.
I got that pick with my starter guitar pack, so it was fun:D
I sometimes used, it and lost it always.

Then after 2 years that I played guitar, I went with a few kids to the gas station to the other side of the road from our school. I walked out... what was right behind the door.... MY BELOVED PICK!!!!!! Hadn't seen it in 2 ! years!

Divine intervention that is!

Ahah, exact same problem here (except I don't put my picks in my CD player tongue.gif) I am loosing like 5 picks a day and then find them a few days or weeks later right in front of me and I absolutely don't know how they came back here.

I am sure picks are alive. It's a new form of life. Sometimes they just need holidays. And they probably help us to play well but only if you are nice with them. So be nice with your picks. wink.gif

Indeed! I often talk with them to get them in a better mood tongue.gif

-"Come one now, help me get those triplets!"
-"Where are you?"
-"So what's up with you? Really? Yesterday? No way!"

..Okay, I made the last one up tongue.gif ... Or did I? ph34r.gif

Anyway, I find picks everywhere. In my wallet, under speakers, beneath rugs, between sofacushions, inside books.. As early as this morning I found two picks inside the hole of my subwoofer...

I tend to search for a pick for hours becaue I am sure I was just holding it and now it's gone...
When I finally give up searching and put the guitar away I'll notice that the pick I was searching was in my mouth becuase I was practicing 8finger tapping -.-

I swallowed a pick once...

-EDIT- Funny story actually. I came up with this ridicolous song on the piano, so on band practise I put my guitar aside, the pick in my mouth, played this ridicolous tune, started laughing, inhaled very intesively... stomach ache for half of an hour, lying on the couch unable to play.

you know whats funny that happens to me, but not with picks but my sunglasses.

I remember quite some time back i was on vacation, and just got of the ferry walking back with my family and it hit me "crap i left my glasses in the boat, and its leaving the docks!" and i just ran i mean literally by the time i reach the dock the ferry had already left. So my natural reaction was facepalm and damn. And the minute i hit my face, i realised i wa wearing my sunglasses all along.

Gawd I felt so stupid!!!!! tongue.gif

I never find the one I loose, a couple of weeks ago I lost about 7-8 picks at once and I have searched everywhere.

By the way, I bought myself 12 of those Fender Medium picks, red to, about a week ago.
You got great taste. biggrin.gif

Once I dropped a pick when I was playing, and I looked around and I couldn't see it anywhere. I was just walking out the room to get another, and there it was on the ground, about 5metres away from where I dropped it.

My problem with picks though, is that I'll have say 5, I'll lose 4 so I'll buy another 5. The I'll find the 4 and end up with 10. That's how I end up with way to many picks. smile.gif

I recently discovered a pick of mine (I geuss) in the local all night laundry. I suddenly looked inside the... machine (tumble dryer?) one uses to dry clothes, and beneath the "tumbler" in the tumbler dryer I could see a small platform where there was a Jazz III pick, which I'm quite sure is mine. I have no idea how it has gotten there though, as there seems to be nowhere for it to get to that place! laugh.gif

I always lose them. So I decided to start buying white picks, so I can find them wherever they are. But I still lose them and I can't still find them, so, It's the same. Hahah
