Well, I had something good on the first day but failed to record it and became very busy with our real-life job. I have got to break that "don't record this yet" habit. This is almost as good but missing something ... zakky.

Maximus multiband compressor/limiter. I've been misusing it for a few months now, usually with good results. Mostly what you get from it is overall loudness. Sometimes a track has already been compressed plenty and you'll distort the sound, but sometimes you get to hear more of the track. At least, in my old --damaged-- ears, it tends to sound better as long as I don't over-do it.

Thanks for listening smile.gif

Here's my take. I'm not happy with it, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to record it better as I'm feeling fluish today. Fast runs are sloppy as hell, but at least it's something smile.gif

Also I feel that the tone is not aggressive enough (although I broke 2 high e strings while jamming over this backing track biggrin.gif ), so could you please advice how to make it better (maybe some EQ tweaks)?

Why so down? That's great playing! Just maybe normalize the guitar track and that should make it big enough?

I've got some new ideas for a new lead section, but I won't be able to post it until tomorrow. It's faster and have to get my head around it.

I don't know another name for it (similar to compression I guess, but selective) but the waveform is increased in level until the highest of its peaks reaches 0db (normal) which can drag any lower peaks up in proportion. If you have any peaks clipped, it won't do anything at all. If you have more headroom, it fills that headroom with the sound in your track.

This is not the best explanation, and hopefully Gabriel will notice your question and answer it better as he is a properly trained sound engineer if I remember correctly.

I think I got what you mean smile.gif But it looks like my waveform is clipped most of the time huh.gif

Never had anything like this before, it's probably because of my wah, it seems that the clips occur when the wah is in its treble-most position.

Some wahs have a little boost or pre-amp kinda feature. I generally dislike the idea of that feature, though I cannot say I've used them myself (aside from foolin' around at a music store).

I would go to great lengths to avoid that much clipping, maybe see if that wah feature can be turned off or find some kind of software attentuation or powersoak? I dunno much about your rig but I'm pretty sure that clipping will drive you crazy after a while.

Hi Guys!

This my humble take....its my first colab and solo ever so be gentle biggrin.gif...I tried to put as much 'Wylde' in to it as I could. I didn't have much time for playing the last week so I didn't clean up some parts as well as I should. Hope you like it

Hi there Gabriel! I recorded something today, it is not what I wanted, but... --> I haven't played for quite a while, and first time in my life, I have blisters/bubbles (don't know the right word) on my fingertips, so I can't record anything better as my fingertips hurts badly blink.gif blink.gif I think that those blisters should disappear in few days, but I got them yesterday, and today is the deadline.

So I upload what I have, and will try to replace it with a take on better preset and with some minor tweaks here and there if the blisters go away, before You do the mix. Of course if You would have to wait for it, than don't do it, I don't want other people to wait for the mix and comments because of me.
