This is a great deal! I just got the claustrophobic expansion, still downloading it though. But anyway, I believe the offer ends on sunday, so you better hurry if you want one There are a bunch of really cool ones, jazzy, funky, etc. I was torn between this one and the 'twisted kit' (I love Tom Waits), but eventually went with the claustrophobic because it seems to have more features. Unfortunately my estimation is that version 7 will be stable enough for installment only after SP1 and that means somewhere around Christmas or even towards the end of the winter, january, february.. There's tons of stuff you can do with the mixer and all the different kit configurations. Want a little overdrive? Got it. Is that snare a little too nasty sounding? Change it up, or mix it down. The first operating system from MS that works right out of the box, but I look at this as a service pack 3 for Vista or like Vista should have been. To bad we have to pay for this "update". Of course, W7 may not be compatible while my vista 64 is, but I have a feeling it would work. I may just get that W7 upgrade after all, if you think it's really solid. Next question, is 64 bit really worth it? What exactly does it offer, when it seems like half of the time no one is taking advantage of it (like in this case with toontrack)? DAWS and all the plugins eat up the RAM really fast. I did a recording of Freebird some time ago, and it was a large project, I only used my old 32 byte system with 4GB RAM, and the computer almost didn´t handle it, I had to record in bits and patch it together in the mix, the computer couldn´t play the whole project at once. But now on my new 64 bit system with 8GB RAM everything is much smoother and better. 64 bits isn´t a problem any more, at least not with W7, but even if there is not a 64 bit version of a program, you can run all 32 bit programs without a problem, both games and applications. 64 bits are not needed for most things today, but for music production, photo and video editing it´s a great benifit.
