Roman,

We continue with more theory assignments!

I want you to read my posts on following two links:

Since I will be out of town today and back tomorrow, I will ask you a lot of questions regarding these topics. We will cover everything in there, so make sure you read through it until you feel you got it 100% wink.gif

Let me know if you need any help!

Pedja

Roman as I promised, here is Guitar pro and PDF of your transcription. Try to play it now. I didn't put fingerings as it is your riff but hopefully you realize that this riff is in odd time signature (6+4 not 5/4). Let me know if it works smile.gif

You welcome Roman smile.gif

Time signature changes, I tabbed it out based on rhythm pulse I heard from your phrases. Don't worry too much about that, the important thing is that you made something musical wink.gif

Roman, tell me everything you know regarding cycle 4 and 5?

Hey Pedja i will try to tell you everything i know about Cycle 4 and 5 now:

By the way i have some little pain in my mouth biggrin.gif

Cycle 5 is a tool for finding out how many sharps a key have. At first we start at the note C and go up a perfect 5th where we land on the the note G. So this is a key with one sharp. When i understand it correctly i can find out which note has the sharp by counting the 7th of G (in this example) so the 7th of G is F. Now i have to sharpen it and i got F#.

Cycle 4 find out all the flats of a key. The start is at C and i have to go up a perfect 4th. this is the next key with one flat. C up a perfect 4th (important is not to count the accidentals) leads me to F (one flat). to find out which note is the flat i have to go up anoter perfect 4th up from the root. so from F up an augmented 4th is B to get a perfect 4th we have to make B to Bb. And there it is our flat note Bb. The good thing about Cycle 4 is that when i found the first flat note it becomes the new key. So Bb is the next root note with 2 flats Bb and Eb. and so on..

I hope this is everything you wanted to read here biggrin.gif
