This is stupid. Is like if Yngwie Malmsteen's producers deletes all the videos that contains entire or parts of his songs.

I don't believe you can't even post something that your band plays. Imagine some cover band profile, are they going to delete all their live videos?

Yeah this is a little weird! There are so many official and unofficial cover bands in the world.

But maybe his videos got deleted as they were named Tush - ZZ Top and not Cover band name - Tush (cover) for example. I think some bots just browse youtube and file complaints based on names of files as one of possible criteria.

I hate those guys : where is our right to play a song (which is your interpretation) and publish it.

I have put Santana on youtube and will put Rush also and so what... will this harm Santana, Rush?

In the US people get ridicules high penalties for download a few song of an album where the (orgina)l artist wasn't even bothered

I think the establishment tries to avoid that they will loose power ( = money) instead of using the internet as a new platform. Same REM did they put there new CD on the internet and within a few hours people had put on new music with samples of the REM tracks

I believe it was because of the name, yeah.
Next time be sure to add "cover", should be fine. smile.gif

It has to be a mistake, as you should be able to play a coversong and put it on youtube..
I believe it could be the name of the title as well, try changing that smile.gif
