I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and presume that you're joking. Just remember that communication on the internet is often misinterpreted.

Whut the ehck is EEE PC? tongue.gif

and if so... wouldnt it be smarter to save even more and go for a macbook? biggrin.gif

I have eee pc 701 4G surf and its an excellent piece of hardware smile.gif
Though I'm not sure if its strong enough to run some VSTs like Ezdrummer etc.
But I'm sure you could run easily Band in a box for example (for backings).

Macbook is in totally different league (price!) but I think its worth it smile.gif

If you can get a MacBook then do it, way better than getting eeePC or any netbook for that matter, but lot more expensive as well smile.gif
If you need the laptop for practice, netbook finishes the job, it's cheap, battery lasts long, you have internet (to access GMC lessons), and you can carry it anywhere, it's light.

Do you practice with headphones or would you run the drum machine through a amp or PA?

Either way I could suggest the Boss Br-600. It's not just a drum machine but a 8 track recorder as well. It sells for around $300.00 us and has a tone of features.

Here's a couple of links if your interested.

If you can find one I'd suggest something small and uncomplicated like the ZOOM RT 123.
This is the entry level one, there's also the 223 and 323 as well.
I have one of these and it's a very usable thing!!
