There's no doubt that it is quality stuff, who likes power and ethnic music elements fused will probably like it, but I've heard some local power bands that would kill 'em on stage.

Saw them live this summer, not particularly kickass, but it was pretty alright. Some very high vocals and speedy guitars as my drummer-friend called it

There isn't too much differences between Jani and the new guitarist. I don't know if it is good or bad. But Tony Kakko is a great songwritter. He always has an Ace on the sleeve

I can tell its not Jani, there isn't that strong expression in it, the heavy vibrato or big slides that I liked. Still its good. A lot better than Unia, which was just such a let down for me.

So can I, but still, he tried to absorve some of Jani's Vibe and, for me, he did good. -------------------- Currently Practicing

I'll be seeing these guys live in about a week or two when they open for DragonForce. I've listened to some of their other stuff on youtube, and thought it was pretty good.

I like the new track.
The new guitarist seems to have the same vibe as Jani, he even bought one of Jani's Ibanez Custom guitars ![]() -------------------- Gear:

I've heard the whole album.. and i'm not really sure what to think yet.
The first half is absolutely fantastic! And thats not an understatement.. But it all falls apart in the 2nd half. The 2nd half consists of songs that sounds unfinished and unstructured. It basically sounds like experimentation gone slightly wrong. It's not "BAD" though, it's just a huge letdown after the first half. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio
Amp: Marshall JMP-1 -> Rocktron Velocity 100 -> Marshall JCM-900 Lead 4x12 FX and stomps: T.C Electronics G-Sharp, Korg SDD-1200, Emma Transmorgrifier, BYOC Tribooster, GGG Green Ringer, Dinosaur Overdrive, Voodoo Lab SuperFuzz, Sovtek Bassballs, Line6 Tap Tremolo, EHX Screaming Bird. ___________________________________________________ My Lessons! The first half is amazing ![]() The first song after the intro is one of the best songs I've heard actually! But as you say, it falls apart midway through with filler songs ![]() |
