Hey In a lesson (/https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/slayer_and_exodus_inspired_thrash_riffs/) im supposed to tune to drop d tuning, D,G,C,F,A,D. But when i tune this way it sounds horrible, nothing like it in the video, am i supposed to just tune the e string?

That lesson is tuned to D standard wich means you have to tune down every string 1 step

What kind of bridge? Floating? Fixed? What's your string gauge? Quite possible that your instrument isn't really set up to handle such a tuning. A floating bridge that is suddenly given less string tension to counter the trem unit's springs is going to put up a little bit of a fight when you try this.
