Hi guys.

I am recently getting bored, just playing different songs over and over again, just wanna learn some awesome riffs now, some that I could improvise from.

So, which riffs do you guys think are awesome ? tongue.gif

Learn Sweet Child o Mine, instantly recognizable and it is a technical and melodic workout.
Kickstart my heart is also very fun to learn.

So many recognizable ones to choose from:
- smoke on the water if you don't know it already
- crazy train is way up there
- black dog is a lot of fun to just play to warm up
- the beginning of sweet home alabama may not be the same kinda riff, but great to hear

I agree w/ black dog ( i like the whole song) and sweet home is very recognizable and would also be a good choice.

oh man, so many awesome riffs out there biggrin.gif

Check out Purple Haze for some of that vintage magic,
or possibly Paranoid for some of that vintage bark,
or possibly Seek & Destroy for some of that vintage evilness, if you haven't already smile.gif

It's always fun to play some Jimi Hendrix, Led Zep or AC/DC riffs.

There are sooooo many awesome riffs, I think you will for sure be able to find something challenging smile.gif My tips would be anything from Black Sabbath, after all Toni Iommi is the god of riffs wink.gif Other cool songs would be for example:
Master of Puppets (Metallica)
Kill The King (Rainbow)
Burn (Deep Purple)
The Prisoner (Iron Maiden)

I would add "2 minutes to midnight from Maiden" and "Long Live Rock and Roll" from Rainbow smile.gif

How about the main riff from the song 'Mark of the Triangle' by Evergrey. As mentioned, 2 minutes to midnight is cool and one of my personal favourites is Iron Maiden's Stranger in a Strange Land.

If you really wanna work out your techinique and advance one step ahead, try to learn the riff of Addicted to that rush by Mr. Big. It's way beyond cool, but it needs lots and lots of practice to get it correctly
