Ohh, but you got it all wrongs, those are straight 16ths note, 4 per beat,
only the sequence is made of 7 notes. smile.gif

edit: in other words, just open GP file and turn on metronome while listening,
it should be easy to figure out what is it all about. smile.gif

Yep, its 16th notes. smile.gif I am so used to the next sequence hitting exactly on the first beat, I am feeling this a bit unusual and cannot for god sake control the timing. It feels like I went out of timing. I am doing more of memorizing the timing than actually going with it. Like the first bar has 2 notes from second group and it is giving me hard time trying to take those 2 notes within the first bar and start 2nd bar from the 3rd note. You know what I mean?

Also, I am trying to get the rack for my triaxis, Gforce (which just shipped today and expecting it next week) and future 2:90. What would you recommend? It won't be for touring (don't think I will ever tour) so should look nice and clean. smile.gif

Well yeah but that was the point of that exercise,
displacement of accents! smile.gif
The sequence is what confuses you the most, play veeery slowly with the metronome,
keep straight 16ths (4 notes per beat) while playing 7 note in sequence,
it'll take some time but just be focus and you'll face breakthrough quite soon!

As for rack, I guess you'll need 4HE since I'm not sure if there is 3HE version.
Any kind would be fine, Gator, SKB, Stagg etc. smile.gif

HE or U means "rack unit".
Triaxis is 1 HE (U), 2:90 is 2 HE (U). smile.gif

ah.. ok. smile.gif

So, this is something I am looking if I can find it in Singapore, Thailand.. need to order then.

http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/pro...Case?sku=544792

4 rack space one.. Btw, will triaxis fit well? On the specs I read the inner width was only 12" for Gator GR-4U (standard one).... any ideas? The triaxis it self seems to more than 14" ..

http://www.gatorcases.com/productsmodeldet...=276&MID=10

Oh I was looking at 4S sorry

These cases have a rackable depth of 18.75". The GR-4L fits the Alesis ADAT-HD24, Alesis ADAT-HD24XR, Fostex D2424LV, Tascam DV-RA1000HD, Tascam X-48, and many others.

Yeah, 4 HE is just a number of units and not all units are long equally,
be sure to look in specs nicely before you order. smile.gif

Sorry for jumping in on this Muris but as its off topic for the MTM I hope you both don't mind-

standard width here is 19 inch. Whilst not all rack gear fits that directly (some is 1/2 some 1/3) with the 'ears' they should all fit 19'' UNLESS they state it. Otherwise,as Muris says, it's height/units and so 4 rack space = 4 1 units or any combination of that 4.

The one thing I'd suggest is to put in a good power conditioner/supply. It will take up 1 unit but will save a lot of effort and issues with wiring and power supply.

cool.. Thanks Tony for chiming in.. smile.gif So, do you have any link that I can check? I am thinking of fitting a triaxis, G-Force and a 2:90 (later) so 4 racks in total. I also saw one with the power supply integrated within it. I will recheck. The problem is my triaxis is 110V and I am using a converter (big one) at this point. Changing the power supply seems to be quite impossible as I have seen many having trouble doing that (including Muris here smile.gif) I wish they just built universal power supplies.

So, its a pretty tricky situation at this point.

Thanks again.

How are we doing with Fusion Jam?
It's November already and we really need to post it in REC,
as well as legato lick in this topic. smile.gif

Sorry Muris, was pretty busy (and lazy) to do some recording this weekend. Anyways, tried the Fusion Jam this morning. My right arm somehow was paining (not proper sleep + guitar?) but it went away after I tried it a few times. So, here is what I have.

Ohh, I know that pain (if it comes from sleeping), I use to twist my arm when sleep too often as well!!
I hope it is nothing serious tho and I wish it'll pass soon. smile.gif

As for take, it was pretty good imo, quite good almost perfect,
there was one tiny moment when you loose timing a bit, 0:39-0:42,
rest of it was really ok and well played, put it in REC for sure. smile.gif

How is legato lick going?

Thanks Muris.. This timing thing is really really bothering me.. just can't seem to make it right. Not really used to counting and playing. Maybe thats the issue.. I have it up on the REC as well.

I will record the legato in a bit.. still trying to get it right. I can't seem to get the sustain on 7 notes from first note. It dies.

Not sure if I understood the sustain issue,
what do you mean by sustain on 7 notes from first note? smile.gif

I mean, the whole note doesn't ring continuously.. it is good on first pick and then when hammer ons pull offs gradually decreases the sound.. its okay one other strings but the 1st string as you can listen the take below.
