I have a problem. No matter how hard I try I always stumble when I try to run up the neck and up the strings. I.e from the thin strings and diagonally to the left and upwards.

I post a few examples from the song (Yngwie - Far beyond the sun) to show what works and what doesn't so ou get a grip on exactly what I have problems with.

This part goes quite Ok, it's no steep movements to the left. It's up to Yngwie speed just a little sloppy but that's another problem wink.gif

This runs Ok too.

Here's where the problem starts, the first part while moving to the left is impossible for me to get up to speed. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. When I started off pacticing this I used my pinky (having so to say one finger per fret in a straight line) but when giving up on that idea I started using three fingers only and managed to increase the speed a bit but still it's not even close to the otiginal song. I play it inaccurate and at not enough speed and I try and try but can't improve this part.

In general I find it hard to come up to speed and accuracy on runs to the left.
Any ideas on how to manage this part? Except for the second half of it which I manage. Finger settings etc.

Runs down wards to the right is a lot easier to manage. Don't know why that is...
