Depends on your goal, type of playing and skill level.. but if i had to pick one, it would be ..
Lick Library - Full Shred Ahead (Andy James) It helped me a great deal but then again, your goal might not be to get into shredding .. so it all depends. -------------------- "If the need is deep, you WILL find a way , if it isn't, you'll find some excuse"

Hey guys! I would like to start to buy some instructional DVDs, but I don't know which ones, so... Could somebody please tell me any really good ones? I want to learn how to play better, improve my skills and my phrasing, 'cause I'm starting to get stuck in the same old licks and all that stuff... I would really apriciate your help here! Thanks Joel. Ooh... there's a lot in this area, it depends on which musical style & level You are looking after... But anyhow, I will say that the most is already here! Get a subscription here instead (if You don't have one already), I haven't seen a video yet that covers all the styles/topics like GMC do. Paul Gilbert's Intense Rock Part's 1 and 2 are invaluable.
Also the Troy Stetina books are great resources - his Speed Mechanics will keep you busy for a long time. |
