hahahahahahahhaahaha! catch and release? or u actually eat the fish biggrin.gif?

Well the idea was catch and release - but with the pandemonium which arrose after the crushed glasses and the so-thought Swedish record I am afraid it rather turned out as "catch and break glasses while fish dies"

I have to say your playing guitar is sooooo much superior compared to your getting up technique wink.gif Try practicing with a click track, get up slowly, only speed up when you manage to get up slowly without hurting yourself wink.gif But seriously, hope your hand will be fine soon

Exactly! If you stress it you will develop bad habits and get a sloppy getting-up-technique, which might damage other body parts (as an example you could step on your tongue)

It definitely is - when finishing in unpolluted waters I do that sometimes! smile.gif

I tried to do that for years without succeeding in order to get my mouth shut, the only result I got from that was a dirty bed (I tried with high-heels in order to reach the tongue). tongue.gif How did You manage it Kris?

This thread made me laugh a few times smile.gif

But i have a "no-guitar-for-a-week" accident, too. Just a few weeks ago. It was stupid...

I wanted to take a shower. Because i am approx. 30cm taller than my wife i had to raise the shower head. While doing that i broke the shower-head-hanger smile.gif

So... I had to repair it... I wanted to cut the hose from the shower head. For this task i used a carpet cutter and manager to cut almost 2 cm deep into my right thumb. I almost cut off a big part of my thumb... i made a pressure bandage and hoped that the piece would grow back on...

Most of it did, but i wasnt able to hold a pick for almost a week...

and it was painful smile.gif

about a year ago I broke my little (5th) finger on my right hand. I (stupidly) never got it looked at by a doctor until it was too late... I have a permanent reminder of the incident in the form of a crooked finger. I've lost about 30% of its functionality I'd say. I can sort of use it to type and stuff. but I'll never be able to use it proficiently to play piano or anything.

I'm just glad because the only thing it stops me from doing on guitar is 8-finger-tapping. no big deal at all!

Broke my left hand twice! fortunately it was before i picked up the guitar, see I always had a thing for climbing because I wasnt allowed by my parents wink.gif so twice between 10-11 years of age I fell when climbing, and both time i landed on my left arm, and let me assure you its not pleasant mellow.gif

Nowadays its usually summer and autumn when I hurt my hands, because of minor accidents from hunting or just soarness after doing unusual work which are seasonal, but this usually just takes a few days to heal, so no big setbacks in the guitar playing smile.gif

I know this is super stupid, but, i like to sleep close to the floor so i got just a mattress, not actually a bed... well this morning i woke up very happy cause i had to record a lesson, and i was a little sleepy so i got my shoes on and the next thing i know is that i was trying to stand up with my left hand under my left shoe sad.gif

so yeah my left hand hurts now (gotta loose some weight tongue.gif)

this is a stupid "accident" that wont let me play as comfortable as i'm used maybe for today, but on a more serious side, anyone had a real accident that wont let you play? that must be the saddest thing in the world.

just wondering, i know it's a creepy subject.

When i was 8 broke arm , doc did not set it right , could not turn wrist to get cords, many years later started learning left handed - then got drunk punch my friend in the head broke bone in right hand , i wonder if this is the reason i can't play alt. picking and my hands some times get sore while i'm playing

Yep!!!! There was a chance that I would have been deaf for life!!! Scared is not the word for it! It was very hard to go in public as people would talk to me and I couldn't answer blink.gif Even at the register if I bought something... That was one of the hardest times of my life!!!

I did eventually get my hearing back though... laugh.gif
