Idea For My Next Guitar

Hi guys

I`m having GAS and want new guitar................as usual biggrin.gif

My next guitar will be for more techniqual music, like prog-metal, fusion (when I learn it properly), and basicly a lot of speedy stuff, you catch the drift wink.gif

I want a Floyd Royse trem on it (is Kahler btw the same?)
22 frets is okay, but 24 would ensure me being able to play all the notes i Want. Maybe jumbo frets as well?
Maple or Ebony neck (I`ve moved a bit away from rosewood lately)
a bridge pickup capable of both hard rock tones and some more metallish (Satriani, Petrucci, 80`s hard rock)
Regarding neck pup, I`m a little curious about a single coil, or stacked coil. Will be the same kind of music on that pup
No need for tone knobs, even though I don`t care if there is one
shape like a rounded superstrat alá Js1000, Jp6, Axis

Some guitars I`ve looked at: ESP / LTD Serpent 600, MM Axis, Laguna Le924, Carvin DC135

Budget: I`d be glad to find a used one a bit cheap, no need for a brand new one. Max price (becuase of 24 % in Norway sad.gif ) is 1000-1500 $

Any ideas for guitars I`ve not mentioned smile.gif ?

Edit: I`ve also been on the thought of customising my own Carvin, I actually get a quite nice one for around 1500$....but it`s still a bit much tongue.gif

as always, i would recommend a prestige RG of somekind, just check it, you have one for every one of your demands im sure. really great guitar, and if you can buy used and change pups to whatever you like.

Yeah, I expected a RG prestige would be one of the first to be suggested, but ....call it a cliché, but I want something a bit different. Or at least not a standard black RG, I have searched some for the old Petrucci Ibanez`s, even though they retails at >2000$

But I know frmo countless threads that they are great value for the money when buying used on ebay wink.gif

I dont really know.... but if You want to check out used guitars in Sweden (I think they are cheaper than in Norway???) they have a new site as a replacement for vendolin.se (as You might know) called just www.vend.se , there's also a lot of used guitars on www.diskant.se .

What is NOT cheaper than Norway laugh.gif (except Switzerland, I got the impression that they suffer the same prices on most stuff)

If I`m ordering, I still think I have to pay VAT? Driving is a bit to far, since I`m living on the west coast of Norway

No, I think it's an agreement between our countries regarding "general goods", eg. everything except booze, tobacco and cars (which people seems to be most interested in.. laugh.gif ) Anyway, if You buy from a private seller, it can be a gift or whatever when it arrives at the customs, then it's up to You.... And if it's a shop in Sweden, they surely know, just ask them!
