Last week I drove a couple of hours out to Alton Illinois to watch Michael Angelo Batio give a clinic and perform. After he put on a great performance he hung around the guitar store and signed autographs and talked to people. They were selling all Dean guitars for half price. I joked that I would only buy one if it was the guitar that he had used in his performance that night. He immediately said sure not problem. So after he signed it to Kyle from Michael Angelo Batio on the front and back and then took pictures with me I walked out with a great guitar and some great memories. Plus it was half price! Buckle Rash on the back and all!

I grant points to Batio for being cool here. I'm not a fan but this is a great story and seems like a really fun experience. Treasure the day smile.gif

If you go it will be a blast I promise. I sat right in front and was not 10 ft from him when he was playing all of his songs. He is a really cool guy.

I do not listen to his stuff all the time but I think he has a great attitude and I like the way he goes about things. A very good instructor. Plus he was around back in the 80's when I was in high school and listening to all the great shred on shrapnel records. So I like to go and support old the original shredders from the 80's smile.gif Would love to catch Paul Gilbert one of these days.

I play's really nice. Great action. It has active EMG's and an original floyd rose not a licensed one. He worked the floyd very hard and demonstrated how well it stayed in tune. The thing I noticed was how easily it was to get good sounding chords out of it very nice frets. The guitar is heavier than your average ibanez. I will have to research what kind of wood the body is made out of.

Funny how things work out biggrin.gif
And I like the look of the guitar too, with a normal headstock.

Spec says it's adler body and maple neck.
