Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi guys,

this is my second attempt on Mr. Muris Varajic's Rocking tune - Beginner level solo. I have more confidence this time that I'll pass. I've improved my vibrato and bending, and I think that will be enough to guarantee my pass. smile.gif

There are a couple of little things (one bend a bit out of tune and a timing issue in the second part of the solo) but I think this was a good take in general so I chose to try it out with this even with the flaws.

Very much thanks to everyone for watching, grading and commenting. Thank you! smile.gif

Lesson name: Rocking tune - Beginner (Muris Varajic)
Original lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...-tune-beginner/
Equipment used: Ltd Mh-400 guitar, Cube 60 amplifier and a Canon pocket camera.

There seems to be some kind of a problem with the Youtube-embeding -thing, I'll try to figure that out. huh.gif

EDIT: Post edited and poll added. Sorry for the inconvenience.

-Kristian

If you would Kristian, just provide the youtube link. Also, we need a poll set up for the grading, thanks. smile.gif

well man, very well done! I found only some notes out of tune while bending. but I found myself enjoying your take very much! and that´s a good thing! so, be careful with bends, keep them on tune, and keep takes coming!

I agree with Lian. Make sure that you bend precisely. Also keep that vibrato consistent especially with the second finger. It needs to be played from the wrist, not from the finger. I like the overall feel. Good work.

Very good take! Your bends in the first part were quite good, but in the second part there were some false notes. Try to play the bends and vibratos with the third finger and not with the second finger also in the second part. smile.gif
