A good guitar but you can get a used Prestige Ibanez for 500 Euros! A Prestige RG or S series beats the S470 in terms of quality, tone and playability!

I've got one (this one specifically). I love it. I'm a big fan of the slim body style and the Zero Point tremolo.

I have an RG570 and a S470 with the low-trs system. They give me two distinct tones and I have not complaints about the quality of my S470. I do think I would like to upgrade my pickups on this one tho.

If you can get a Prestige for the same price, go for it! they are really good,

no offense to anyone but the s470 is a good higher end "beginners" guitar.

the problem arises with the S version of the wizard 2's (the neck) radius, and the ZR tremolo's radius. the Mismatch causes you not to have a low action as possible and it can have a lot of buzz.

you also get the other problems from indonesian made guitars such as uneven frets. not to say all are like this, but there is a good chance yours will be.

I'd wait until a better used S or RG pops up into the market. If you tell me where in portugal you live, i can look up craigslist for you to find you the good models and prices

Craigslist isn't very well known in Europe, not many people use it

I'm not much of a whammy abuser, but the guitar stays in tune very well for me. I liked the set up straight from the factory. It played better then than it did after I paid to have it 'professionally' set up. dry.gif

I disagree.....I think the S470 is way better than a "higher end" beginner guitar. The ZR trem is the most stable trem out there IMO.......

for $600,

you are paying for yes a good trem, but thats about it

like i said, the neck and trem radius do not match, and the nut might be too high as well (a common problem with the S470)

to me, $600 is a high price for a guitar with many flaws
