Good job - I recently noticed some more things, too. I'm sure the screen-shots
clarify some of it even more. This great site needs to be "Cross Browser Compatible."
Oh, yea, The links to New Threads on URL : https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/live/
do not produce anything onClick. The chat seems to be impossible to access most the time.
Right now, the top banner that appears atop of every page, shows 12 students chatting
with 1 instructor, but the 1 and the 2 on 12 overlaps - in other words the 1 appears
on top of the 2. Ha! There's plenty more but it's not my job - I will post along with the
rest of you as my time allows. Maybe my 2 cents can help a little here and there, too.
I Love the site! Long Live GuitarMasterClass.net! And as always, in a masterful setting. smile.gif

I have the same problems as well.... But what is more frustrating is that the "paging" on some areas in the forum doesn't work. In "ask an instructor", the same page is coming up, no matter if You select page 1 or 2 .... Also as I said in another thread, the Z-order of the layers does'nt work in IE8, so the book marks gets behind the lesson in that section....

THat's the old chat (chatsigma at the end of the URL) which shoudn't be used and will not work. That link really has to come off the forum page header. The GREEN "GMC CHAT" above that one will get you to the right client, but that one will fail if you're not logged in.

Thanks a lot for spotting all these bugs - I report everything I find (or get to hear about).

What do you mean by this - you cannot access the chat? I cannot recreate this.

The link circled in GREEN will work if you are logged in.
The link circled in RED will only ever go to the OLD chat client. It will not work for members.

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/lesson-series.htm

I get a fatal SQL error when clicking that link.

I clicked it from the Workshops/Choose Your Box

I went to peruse Andrew's, theory threads and see that text is bleeding into the background. I'm using Firefoxx with OSX and with Windows 7 with varying degrees of the same problem. I can't resolve it with text size changes.

Thanks,

Tom

I've noticed this site now runs like a giant turd. Ever heard the expression If it ain't broke don't try and fix it. If the site didn't need to be revamped then why bother at least the old one ran smooth.

I am sure the new site will stop running like a dog some day?

Hi All,

I have noticed a few things that are worth mentioning. When logged in and attemting to play a video I nearly always have to load it twice in order to get it to play. This happens with both the main video lesson and the subsequent lessons of the series. Click the icon for the video and the screen stays black and does not load, hit refresh and then the video loads. If you need to perfrom a refresh on say video 3, when you hit refresh it takes you back to the main video and then you must click on video 3 again and then it works.

Also maybe I have gone crazy but I am unable to see how to add or view comments to a lesson now. There is a drop down window located in the main header that states "Give feedback on the Lesson" however when that window opens it is empty and there is nothing to select.

I should mention that I am using IE vers 7.0.5730.11 and this leads me to one last comment. I can no longer access GMC at work tongue.gif
I work in a secured computer environment and we are stuck on IE6.. which is no longer supported here sad.gif

Cheers!
Gary

Hey Guys,
I like a lot of the improvements you've made to the site but I've experienced a couple of problems. I've noticed I'm not able to search lessons (by instructor, type, date, style etc.) any more with the advanced search. The Advanced search is there but it gives me no results when I try to use it.
Also I noticed the metronome hasn't worked on any of the lessons I'm working on. I sure hope these features are going to be fixed soon as I find both of these options to be extremely useful and a big part of what makes this site work so well (for me anyway).
Keep up the good work and thanks for your consideration.

I cannot recreate this - can you give the link a specific Andrew topic that is giving you problems? (I suspect it's not all of them)

Ok - this must be related to your system then - since we can log in as you: (check it here).

Have you tried updating java? (do it here)

Or tied another web browser?

This link is one of them: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...?showtopic=5012

Interestingly enough, when I look at your reply that quotes mine, the same thing happens. If you notice, just that reply in the forum is paged funny....picture included.
