Today I picked up a Zoom R16 digital portable studio. Pros, records 8 channels simultaniously. Cons, none wink.gif

Us, in the band, decided to get something to record our rehearsal sessions. We used to have a Zoom H2 but that piece belong to our former drummer, we had to have something new. This piece is one of few that'll record 8 channels at once. None actually for the price.

The plan now is;
mike both guitars, line the bass, mike the vocals, two overhead mikes on the drums, one kick and one close to the snare.

Bad timing though since we're on christmas break starting now so I have no chanse to test it before 2'nd week 2010
Hope to have more to tell after we've seen it in action

Man, that looks like a nice little piece of equipment. Nice and portable too! Mixers sure seem to have come a long way. When I think of boards, I can't help but think of something that would require a U-Haul truck to move.. laugh.gif
