Didn't know where to post it, so posted it here;)

The idea is, to have somewhere on the forum, a topic in which we could inform each other about Internet guitar competitions, why is that? -->
1. those competitions often have nice, free backing tracks
2. taking part in competitions can motivate player to practice
3. by taking part You can have additional feedback about Your playing, so no matter the level, it can be valuable
4. The problem with those competitions is that if You don't spend much time on many guitar oriented sites/have no luck You most probably have no idea that a competition is up and running.

So what do other people think about this? Maybe placing such info in different place, like WIKI would be more appropriate.

Nice Marek, I have this wiki Competition Central running, maybe we could use that for starters?

We can always make a new page or modify this one to make it more usefu, adding info about competitions and not only members entries. We could even add the backings there, etc l cool.gif

I really like the idea. I only know about Guitar Idol and kinda follow it, but I'd love to hear about more competitions.

Nice that You people like this idea. Still I don't know how this should be organized. Wiki is hard to operate, in compare to forum for example. Besides having a topic about it, would make it more visible, as every time someone would post info about a new competition, it would be visible in "new posts" and this option is most probably heavily used:)
