I got a little inspired from a documentary and thought I'd look into buying a World War II game for the PS3, since I have a gift card for GAME.

What's the best game in that genre out there?

I'm not sure what is the best, you have to check that out, but there's a new game called Saboteur, not sure if it is out yet. COD should have one WWII version too.

I love these game although I don't play them anymore, but can you imagine being able to go back in time to say to Normandy on D day, dodging bullets and all the other things and telling a buddy that someday this will be a very popular gaming theme. They would probably think you were out of your mind and have you shot as soon as possible. Medal Of Honor was my favorite.

Call of Duty 5: World at War is a WWII game, it takes place in Japan, Russia and Germany and it's pretty good and also fairly new (2008 or 09) or you can try Call of Duty 3 which is a bit older but also for PS3 and also a WWII shooter.

The Medal of Honor series are good but imho the Call Of Duty Games are far better thanks to the atmosphere and Gameplay.

I ended up buying Call of Duty: World at War.

It's pretty good so far, 3 missions in! I only had about 150 dkr to shop for (the gift card), so I bought it used. I also found Call of Duty III to about 200 dkr, and I had to have a conversation with the guy at the counter and a customer as of which one to buy. They suggested World at War, so I ended up buying that.
