I used to think I was good with computers.

I can programme, I have built computers and I even ran a web design company for a while.

But now every computer I touch falls apart!

My main desktop computer suddenly gave up today and I am spending ages trying to coax it back to life!

Now I cant get any sounds out of my laptop!

If you hear a sudden loud crash it is probably just me throwing one of them against the wall!

Like King Midas in Greek mytology, but with computers... and not turning into gold like in his case but falling apart.
Tough luck!

Oh well, I work with computers and have done the past 15 years.... when I'm ready for retirement I will make a bonfire of all computers in a radius of 2 km's from where Im staying, and if I ever see a computer again after this I will probably try to assasinate Bill Gates... tongue.gif
I know exactly how You feel buddy..... hang in there!

If you worked a lot with computers, you know that they are very complex machines prone to lots of kinds of errors (and there will ALWAYS be something to fix on them). Don't worry it will be fine, chill out, and fix one machine at the time. Getting aggravated because of the computer not working can only give you headache.

I felt like this many times...But I manage always to fix them, only with some patience... smile.gif
But it would be cool to have a computer that doesn't break so often smile.gif

My main machine has "lost" a system file and wont boot up without it. The solution is that I need to reboot from the original windows disk. Easy!! Except that to do this I need a keyboard and because I use a wireless keyboard it wont boot far enough to activate the keyboard!

So tomorrow its down to the shops to buy a new wired keyboard and then hopefully it should be plain sailing!

The worst of it is the little voice in my ear (otherwise known as my wife) saying "I told you you had too much stuff on that computer" laugh.gif

Perhaps I need to borrow Staffy´s hammer laugh.gif (For the computer not my wife biggrin.gif biggrin.gif )
