Sure, the hands are in constant movement. It's important to be efficient with movements as well, so bare that in mind too.

My arms/hands/fingers also change positions depending on what I am playing, as long as you are relaxed and the result sounds like you want it to sound I don't see any problem.

gor faster stuff I would say that you need to have your palm very tightly pressed to the strings as a general "rule" but I agree it depends on how it feels
