Hi everyone! Some time ago I wrote that there is such a comp on Youtube, and decided to enter, even though my skills are surely much smaller than some of the other contestants. I hope to get some constructive criticism besides reading some Youtube lords calling my entry something like mega crap wink.gif

So here it is:

Hope You like it.

I think the take is quite good and well balanced. I like the overal melodic built up in the whole composition. If I may suggest to work a bit on the drums, they seem a bit weak for this type of track. Just a thought.

Thanks for Your reply Ivan. The drums were provided by the organizer of the competition, so I had to work with what we had. I know that something less metal would fit this kind of drums better, but I didn't really think what to compose, just sat down and "this take happened" wink.gif After my exams are over maybe I will experiment a bit with this drum track, I am yet to learn how to "compose" my own drum tracks, so this one will be helpful to think of some riff/rhythm ideas on my own.

Thanks Staffy! It was a nice competition, as I have no experience in composing whatsoever, and all the collaborations in GMC I participated were solo oriented, so finally I gave rhythm a chance. Considering that if I ever wanna start a band, than rhythm playing will be overwhelmingly more important to begin with, this is a good direction:P

I think your take is good,

I would raise the mids in your tone
