Like powersupply, AC/DC or whatever? -Magnus On my pedalboard I have a system with this kinda of "tape" that clings into each other (the same as in clothes, if You know what I mean) On the one side its tape(attached to the pedal & the board) and on the other side it has some small pigs that cling in together... (kardborrband in Swedish) This works fairly well and its easy to replace the pedals. If You then have a case for it that holds the pedals while transporting it, it works well. Boss have a power unit that I use that support 8 9v-pedals as well as 4 12v-units that has a reasonable prize. Just came across THIS DIY PEDAL BOARD whilst looking for something else and thought it might be of some use to you?
As for your Power Supply I'd suggest something like THIS.

I have a Warwick Gigboard RB 23100 which is not expensive and powers up to 5 pedals, comes with a padded bag and all cables.
It's not expensive, considering the prize that good quality power sources for 5 pedals go for, this one provides a nice surface plus carrying bag. I am going to buy a pedalboard with case soon...
Building your own board is fun but when it comes to gig-ing, there are only two things that matter: Portability and Durability! I really recommend that you save yourself a hassle and get this:
behringer PB1000 pedalboard:  you have plenty of room here, and it will be lighter than anything that you can make. In the end of the gig/rehearsal, the weight will be very important to you. This one is sturdy enough, and all you have to get here is some good power adapter with integrated hum-filtering (can be bought/made in any better electronic shop). This one costs only 100$, and your home-made pedalboard will cost slightly less probably, not mentioning the time you've put into building one. I actually build myself pedalboard before, and don't wanna go through that again ever again, cause it isn't worth it. This is exactly the approach I took, decide how many pedals you need and buy a flight case to suit, mine has an angeld board for better access and a dedicated power supply, without pedals the whole thing was less than a hundred pounds and it will last for years, its virtually indestructable! If you don't need a hardcase get this

The Behringer is bad, it makes a lot off noise (bad shielding) the t-rex one is great or this one that has a power supply for multible pedals.
