Actually, the first song I ever recorded, But I finally got the female vocals to go over it, So listen and let me know what you think. Especially with LOLA's voice, I'm still working with her and getting used to things smile.gif

Lyrics:

____________________________

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Revelation Space
A Persona Projection
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

"Endless frontier beckons to me..."

Lost in a maze of circuitry
I cannot find myself
(Persona projection)
I'm told that I have no soul
That there is nothing
(No heaven...)

Damned before I was born
Holocaust of my thoughts
(Bound to programmed chains)
As my mind is erased
All I want is too..
(Live and love...)

Very trippy, I like it man ..The female vocals blend in nicely with the theme and the atmosphere created by this song. Very nice playing and composition too. But i was waiting for it to get aggressive and the growls to come in .. but that never happened laugh.gif .. maybe that wasnt the theme for this one smile.gif

Keep it up man.... good stuff.

Yeah, cool, but I also waited for some rhytm to break in (not necessarily drums). I also found it hard to hear the lyrics, but I guess thats because of the spacy sound - which is cool!!! smile.gif

Ya, I agree with that .. but he does concept albums where songs connect to each other and last 7-10 minutes (from what I've heard) ... so I can easily see this song fitting in somewhere in such an album ... smile.gif

Yeah, You've right bout that. I forgot bout Brett's stunning creativity. I'm really impressed by the amount/quality of material he produces and this song will absolutely go well together with some other songs on a concept record!

Also, since LOLA isn't a person, it can be a bit hard to get the right annunciation. LOLA is actually a singing synthesis program developed by Yamaha. Its one of the coolest things ive seen and one of the best purchases Ive made, the amount of expression and realism you can get is awesome, Ive only just touched the surface. smile.gif

PS

On the EP im doing right now, this song is in the halfway point roughly. Where as most of the other songs are heavy, fast, or melodic, I wanted to keep this one toned down the whole way through.

I love the feel of this music! I was going to suggest a bit less effect for the female singer but now that I read the following posts I can't believe that Lola isn't real! ohmy.gif

I know right? laugh.gif

Its pretty good, And you can make it sound even more real once you learn how to get technical with it. Not bad for the price. Only $80 if you download from the Zero G shop, or about $180 for the CD and box.

Yeah, I know LOLA, I was trying to use it to make some oooh's and aaah's type of choirs but didn't succeeded, so I used a program from Liquid Instruments that is called "The Voice" instead that is pretty cool. But I guess I didn't really took the time to explore Lady LOLA... tongue.gif
