I'm about to replace the stock speaker in my Fender Blues Deluxe amp. Does anyone out there have any experience/pointers/website references about the right way to dismantle the amp in order to access the speaker?

I think Staffay can help you there, you can PM him, or he will see the topic.

Now I'm not exactly familiar with that particular amp, but there is a back panel that needs to be removed. Take a screwdriver and remove the screws and the panel. You will then have access to the speaker. Speaker is usually bolted on to the front panel. Check out the bolts and see what tool you need to replace it. Also see if the speaker is wire-soldered to the amps output or does it have clamps or even speaker jack. This is how you will then have to connect the speaker to the amp.
hope this helps
