Instrumental rock - shades of Satch but just not as good. laugh.gif

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songI...;songID=8826964

I will re-record a few a sections (some sloppy bits) but I need to take a break and come back to it with fresh ears.
In the meantime, I'm open to feedback.

Pretty nice song in my ears! smile.gif But i can't reconize any bass???? Also I think its a little bit too much reverb, or You maybe shall shorten the time of the reverb a little at least... The drums sounded quite nice, but there could be some more fills in some spots. Otherwise, nice job! smile.gif

Thanks.

I've never really had a means to add bass so I don't think about it, but you've just prompted me....I can now sequence it with my keyboard. Off to work on that now! biggrin.gif

I like it smile.gif It flowed ..

Bit too much reverb on the guitar for my taste but maybe that was the idea/intentional.

Thanks zen.

I've been listening to a lot of other people's stuff on here, including your cover of Iron Maiden's 'Wasted Years' (very well done by the way! Great job!) and I'm thinking that the clear, tight sound that many favour is not my thing. I love the spaciousness of reverb and delay, and trust me.....this was wound down from what it could have been!!! smile.gif

But I've added a basic bass line and made a few minor changes and will be away until next week now, so I can come back and critique this with fresh ears.

Thanks.

Of course man .. whatever sounds good to the composer/player and captures the feel/ emotion of the message being delivered in the song is probably the best mix. After listening to so much metal, that reverb is actually quite soothing smile.gif

The drums sound big! I think the guitar should sound as big, it sounds a little thin for the bigness of the backing track...nice job!

Thanks Daniel. I agree. I need to rerecord several of the lead parts so the mixing is still to come.

I like the whole thing. I know you said it's not mixed but I wish there was more bass on this demo. Drums sound very nice

Thanks Emir. Do you mean bass guitar or bass in the EQ?
