It's like buying a CD as compared to downloading music .. the feeling of holding something in your hand.
But the content online has pretty much wiped out the info in mags... What are your thoughts? Do you subscribe to any? Which one and why ?? Yes, Im a bit old school as I remember some experiences of learning songs from audio cassettes and guitar mags when internet was not so widespread but over the years I've turned to the internet completely ... But now I miss the mags.. .. Are they still in good business? -------------------- "If the need is deep, you WILL find a way , if it isn't, you'll find some excuse"

I Guess the only reason I look at the mags would be for band interviews mostly. But they cost quite alot.

I buy my CD's and DVD's. I subscribe to one manazine and buy another every month, never read them off of the internet. And least but not last, I'm in love with a real woman too.

Ya, its just the way it is I guess .. I was looking at a mag today and was wondering all these things.. I dont know why but I was even enjoying the advertisements in it
@MickeM - Had to look up what IRL meant .. Which mags do you subscribe to ? If someone was to still give them a shot, which one do you recommend ? -------------------- "If the need is deep, you WILL find a way , if it isn't, you'll find some excuse"

A guitar paper called Fuzz and a studio oriented one called Studio. And another advantage of magazines. You can't bring your laptop to the John! -------------------- My bands homepage

I love the German "Guitar" magazine, but I also check out the online versions of some other american magazines. I don't see why I should not read both, but I definitely prefer a real printed mag. It is just like with books, I love them, collect them, and I couldn't care less about those digital book readers.

Never bought a guitar magazine, even before the internet-tubes covered the world.

"Guitar Techniques" is quite good one. Not many ads and nice material for playing. I used to be a big fan of that mag but I'm not buying it anymore. Probably because I have all that online. I must admit that sometimes is much easier for me to read notes from the paper than on the screen.

I used to have the subscription to the Bass Player Magazine...Nowadays you can find any info on the internet but It can't replace professional articles and readying from actual paper not computer monitor

Reading from paper is cool, I love magazines, but buy only PC related ones, 2 per month. Guitar ones are cool when I check them out, but they are usually more-ads-than-useful-articles like.
