I've just received email from the guys who are one of Guitar Idol sponsors. All other GI finalists were included in the email.

The new competition is on so if you want to give it a try see this video for rules and hear the backing track.

This is what Andy played over this backing smile.gif

I'm a big fan of his playing style .. Very tight and controlled ..

And more so coz his fingers go far away from the fretboard , just like mine , just comforts me in the fact that there is still hope to achieve those speeds laugh.gif

Goodluck to whoever participates. biggrin.gif

That was so well played, and well controlled, simply an awesome solo for this kind of a track. Good luck to anyone participating wink.gif

The backing is amazing! Jonathan Burgos recorded a take for that competition! Check it out! I will do the same if I have enough time. Do you know when this competition exactly ends?

Check out Rick Graham's video of this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EblwrJ0xaWg
He's not entering just merely playing over the track.

Killer take

Well, we can do one together Sted! You do two takes and I will do two as well, and then we delay each of them a 16 note triplet in time from eachother!!! Voila' - we will sound like Robert Johnson on acid!!! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
