I think I've seen this... it was a really really old viola (the reason he was playing it was because it sounded really good, because instruments sound better with age) and it was just a worn out bridge I guess. tongue.gif

was in a bar once and we were coming back out to do the encore
we just told the crowd that we were going to do R Zombie and as i was bringing the strap over my shoulder- you guessed it -
the strap slipped off the peg,the guitar neck heads toward the floor ,big clunk in the mains , the whole bar makes a big sigh and cracked neck on my les pual copy

Ouch. Every player that has gigged for a while has some horror stories but this is really pretty bad. I've never had an instrument just flat out fail like that. However, I've completed songs on stage with fewer than half the strings I started with.
