I've mentioned lately that I'm interested in creating music and sound for film, tv, video games and commercials.

So I've been submitting tracks to various places and a few weeks ago a small boutique licensing agency in Australia signed me on to their catalogue and that was kind of cool but they are only small and I don't expect much from there.

However, yesterday I submitted my movie trailer track and another song to a major library in America and they normally take 1-2 months to respond to first contact. But today I wake up to discover a request for a CD full of work! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I'm on a high today!

Thanks Adrian,

It's a music library that matches sound to media such as ads and TV. They will review each piece on the CD and either add it to their catalogue or reject it. Each piece is reviewed as an individual item...it's not an album CD as such like a band would distribute.

Ps. Thanks purple.

Knock, knocking on library doors...

There's a song in that. Think it's been done. biggrin.gif

Basically, I spent days with my good friend google looking for the people who market music to the media users, then more time submitting tracks to libraries and A&R companies. I only do instrumental stuff but there's an insatiable market for songs with vocals. Just cruise your TV channels and listen. Nearly every ad and every program consumes musical content. Very little of it is from big names.

Thanks guys. Haven't been around much here lately because I've been so busy writing and adding to my catalogue.

I have some cool little tracks which I will share sometime soon.
