Its been awhile since I have put anything up here, So I would like to share my latest tune with you guys. If you have checked my little free album thingy-ma-bobber here, then you might have heard this one already. Its the opening song and I wanted to wait 'till I finished the whole album thing before I put it up.

Anyway, this song for me, Is kind of a big step forward. I love keyboards, synth, and all that great stuff, but have always been afraid to use it extensively in any of my songs (With the exception of about...1 song). This one however I used quite a lot of it. I even have a keyboard solo, which is basically something I wrote on guitar, then transcribed to the keys - Some epic Ayreon style melodies floating around, a nice sweeping section between the guitar and keys, and some other cool little things in there.

All in all, Its a personal favorite of mine - So let me know what you guys think of it!

And of course, for those interested, lyrics and some literary ramblings of nonsensical spaceynesses and words formed from too many hours of star wars smile.gif

Point Of Origin

01: Collapse (Intro swells)

02: Big Bang
Witness the birth of light
Convalsecence of existence

Witness the birth of time
From a black nothingness
To infinity

03: Beacon
Coming from a distant nothingness
A scream in a silent void
An ancient voice in a future world
Begging us to come
Drifting from star to star

04: A Destiny Of Time

Forward through, The bulk of time
No guarantees, For our return
Echoing throughout the cosmos
On the trails of cold desolation

Standing silent at the helm
The sounds of life begin to die out
Left alone within my mind
There screams become whispers

Slowly the effects of time
Begin to distort my perception
These once bright and mighty halls
Now envelope the mind in darkness

The crew of 50 reduced to 10
The end so near, Is so far away
And then the voice, From nothingness
Comes screaming through the silence

05: Truth and Revelation
A great absence in space and time
Denotes the presence of something more
Infinitely dense, A point of origin....

And where there should be nothing
Something clings to existence
Orbiting the great absence
A digital soul
Of myself...

06: Future
My eyes are open
And pained by the light
Of truth and revelation
The absence in space
Is the presence of a new

Our fates are being reversed
Dark energy pulling back time
Impending doom, A galactic crunch
An ironic twist of fates
