They are ok, but don't expect a tone like the *real* Marshall made in UK amps have. The MA series are Marshalls answer to the cheap, chinese made tube amps by other companies.

Isn't MA just a MG with tubes? I think I remember reading a review saying you get heavy cruch out of it at most but would fail if you were aiming for metal. You'd need to add an OD/Dist pedal for that. I could remember wrong though, havn't tested it.

They didn't come in here. We just recently got Blackstar line, I can imagine these coming in 6 months
![]() But one look at them tells what they are: cheap all-tube amps made in china with big logo that says "Marshall". PS The reason some amps are expensive is because they use quality components and quality craftmanship. Instead of cheap wood, they put marine-grade plywood, custom tolex/leather, high quality electronic parts, high quality transformers (cost the most), good tubes, hi-quality potentiometers, hi quality capacitors etc.. Instead of machine-punched PCBs, you can make it hand-crafted and let humans solder everything on turret tag boards, it will be more cleaner, but it would cost more per unit. All these things are important. Not only will the quality of the material and craftmanship determine the price per unit, but the brand name is also counted into the price. You can add some secondary factors too, like international shipping or cost/demand connections. I wouldn't expect much from those amps. Better try to get a UK one. But you should try it in store if the have 'em, maybe you would like their sound...
