> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Excellent job on this one, sounds groooovy! biggrin.gif

The only thing I would recommend is to try to strum all the strings almost all the time, and try to mute the others, it would produce scratching noise that is essential for the funk sound. I LOVE the way you used wah in this lesson. It came out very cool. I used envelope filter (autowah) in original, but I really dig this too, very nice touch. I give a 9, because of the strumming, everything else is great.

Great take and great tone too!
Be careful some notes are out of time in the single not part. I think you should relax your right hand.

very nice take!
but you have to relax that right hand and hit all the strings, think about on how drummers use the hi hat, it is the same!

Well played. Some minor timing issues, nothing essential!
