Ivan
I have just subscribed again after one year. There are a lot of lessons made by you and others by Gerardo Siege that seems to be quite interesting for me.
I start with a question on your last tutorial on Rolling Stones. I have Amplitube 3 but can't find the amp you used, can you help me, please?

Also, do you know if somebody at GMC can help me to build a lessons plan on Pop/Rock/Blues? Let's say that I know scales, chords, techniques but putting all together is my problem

Thanks in advance
Carmine

Hey my friend,

- For Rolling Stones lesson I used Mesa Boogie Mark III emulation, the name is something like "American Rhythm MKIII", or "American Crunch MKIII". There is a preset called "MKIII Edgy" or something like that, so you can start from there. If you lack overdrive on the amp itself, you can insert tubescreamer as boost (drive 0, volume 7, tone whatever).

- There will be MTP program opened in month or two, but until then, if you want me to help you build your plan I will do it gladly. Just give me some background, and exactly what are your issues with playing.

thanks for your reply. My bigger issue is that i can't finish any lessons! There are so many things I want to play that I finish for doing nothing. I love blues rock so I am trying your lessons on Keith Richards and Gary Moore, the I am studying the solo of the Wall. What i like here most is that the lessons are divided in small parts so i know on what to concentrate. I would like to play in the style of David Gilmour or in the style of the Edge but lesson on these guitarists are quite old and not in HD. Do you know if in the future there will be more on these.

Once again thanks
Carmine

There will probably be more lessons in the style of Gilmour and Edge, in fact, I can try to do one of Gilmours lessons in the near future.

Regarding your problem with not completing lessons, I think it's not that big of an issue. It only depends what your goals are. I rarely finished any guitar lesson book from beginning to the end - it was more taking from every book/lesson what I considered to be the most interesting for me. Choosing what is interesting from many lessons is a positive thing, since you are creating your unique blend of skills. Of course, I always recommend that you understand what you play in terms of scales and chords at least. You don't have to be a theory expert, but knowing basic music theory can really help you learn things faster. If you haven't learned any music theory, I suggest you spend some time on it, cause it will mean a lot.

Let me know if I can help with anything else. Cheers! smile.gif
