Hello.........I am glad to be here.

I never could stick with learning guitar growing up. Video games seemed to consume all my free time. But thanks to this site, and a stronger wanting to produce brash noises, I have been able to stick with it. I have started lessons by Lian, Pavel and Marcus. I love the metal.......though my favorite bands are different.

Favorite bands/musicians: Bob Dylan, mewithoutYou, Bad Brains, Killswitch Engage (old), White Stripes, John Prine,The Pogues, Syd Barrett, Hole, Ramones, As I Lay Dying, Alice Cooper, Primus, Johnny Cash, Iron Maiden, Gordon Lightfoot, The Irish Rovers, Jars Of Clay, Talking Heads, Neil Young.

What I want to sound like: The Exploited (latest album), Megadeth (old), Exodus, Slayer......I want to make thrash punk type stuff........though sometimes my mind adjusts and old Pink Floyd material sounds heavier to me than any metal.

I liked Joey Ramone's tribute song to Maria Bartiromo........what would be ideal for me would be to perform the sound of the stuff above with a lyrical theme touching on the economy, stock market, the manipulation that lies therein, and etc. (Specific stuff like naked short selling and such). I am way off from that though. Again, I am just happy to be here....listening, learning, growing some.

Thank you all that make these lessons.......those that have flocked here and write.....I hope to mine this message board for inspiration.

God bless and Semper Fi

brad

Thanks all!!! and fellow gamers!

I am a loyal follower of the tri-fecta: Mario, Metroid, and Zelda........they seem short enough to not take up to much of my time. A few lessons under my built thus far.....looking to accomplish level 5 and under for a while...

Good day aye!
