Dear GMC-ers,

I'm very happy and proud to introduce you one of my best friends, and an awesome guitarists, Máté Nagy. He is really young, but nevertheless a true guitar hero and an inspiration.

Here are a few videos of him improvising in Dover GMC Studio, Budapest:

One of his amazing techniques is chicken picking in the styles of Zakk Wylde and Richie Kotzen.

Buddy, can you tell us a few things about your style, and how long did it take for you to master this technique?

Hi everyone !

First I'd like to thank Zsolt for this really kind introduction:)
I'm really happy and excited about being part of this community.

I'm a blues based kinda player, I play everything from blues to metal, and I also learned classical, when I started to play.

Serious parciticing started about 6 years ago, and I'm still practicing a lot nowadays of course.
My first influence was JimiHendrix, and later on Zakk Wylde, Richie Kotzen, Doug Aldrich, SRV and other guitar heroes.

A lot of time guitarists say that you have to reach a certain age to start to feel the vibe of Hendrix, SRV and other blues guitarists, how did this happen to you in such a short time? smile.gif

Difficult question bro ! smile.gif

Of course it takes a lot of time to master any kind of style.
But after you first tasted the flavour of true blues or rock n' roll the feeling just pulls you immediately and improvement is guaranteed . . .

I'm really into blues, so surely I'll do a lot of blues lessons.
In these lessons, I'll try to catch the essence of the blues, and make these lessons truly instructive.

The blues and rock n' roll genres won't be untouched either I can promise wink.gif
I will teach you a lot of Killer pentatonic licks and chicken picking techniques.
I also want to present some lessons that uncovers Stevie Ray Vaughan's most recogniseable playing techniques . . .

So I have big plans here at GMC
